Day trip to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings

Early in the morning you will be picked up comfortably from your hotel and drive in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle via Safaga along the newly developed desert road. After about 225 km you will reach the Nile Valley at Qena. On the way, we make a short stop at a rest stop to stretch our legs or use the toilet.

Then the journey continues along the densely populated country road to Luxor (about 60 km). On the way you will see numerous small and large villages and get valuable insights into the everyday life of Egypt.

Once in Luxor, your cultural adventure begins. After a short refreshment break, you will visit the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in the world, with its impressive pillared hall. After that, the bus will take you to Thebes West, where you will enjoy a typical local lunch.

Well strengthened, you will explore the world-famous Valley of the Kings and visit the magnificent tombs of the pharaohs. New: Taking pictures with the mobile phone in the graves is now allowed without flash and without charge!
